Developing someone in your agency?
Many agencies already have someone with the knowledge, judgement and instincts to become an excellent spokesperson trainer. What they may not yet have is a structured way to turn that experience into training they can confidently deliver.
Participants will return able to design and deliver the media and spokesperson training your clients already ask for, using five practical frameworks, ready-made exercises and an AI-supported approach.

The Course for Spokesperson Trainers
Hello, I’m Rebecca Jabbar, creator and trainer of The Media Trainer Method.
Over the years, I’ve observed many media training workshops delivered in very different ways. Too often, what I saw was more media practice than full spokesperson training: some tips, a challenging interview and feedback on how the spokesperson performed.
I wanted participants to leave with much more than that.
Effective training should give people practical frameworks they can rely on, help them understand what their audiences need from them across multiple platforms, and equip them to communicate with confidence and authenticity wherever they represent their organisation.
And that matters even more today. A spokesperson might be preparing for a journalist interview one day, a panel, podcast or presentation the next, while also using AI to help research, prepare and practise.
In the last 12 years of formally delivering spokesperson training, I’ve developed an approach that reflects that broader role. I’ve trained hundreds of spokespeople and built a methodology around the techniques, frameworks and exercises I know work in the room.
The Media Trainer Method is my opportunity to pass that experience on to communications professionals and journalists who want to build a spokesperson training offer of their own, or make the training they already deliver even stronger.
Course Overview
Two intensive days of learning and development, followed by dedicated time to apply it
and a 90-minute 1:1 to refine what you create.

Day One:
Understand it.
Brand Champions and Spokesperson Training in Practice
Understand what effective spokesperson training needs to achieve today and how to prepare people to represent their organisation confidently across different platforms.
Explore different participant types, messaging, authenticity and storytelling, stakeholder expectations and the changing communication landscape, from traditional interviews to panels, podcasts, presentations, live video and social.
You’ll also begin exploring how AI can support both the trainer and the participant in structured preparation, research, messaging and practice.

Day Two:
Build it.
Designing, Delivering and Growing Your Spokesperson Training Offer
Get into the practical mechanics of creating high-value spokesperson training. You’ll explore workshop structure, exercises and the five proven frameworks behind The Media Trainer Method, alongside how to design realistic Q&A practice sessions, and give constructive feedback that improves performance.
We’ll also look at how AI can help you research, prepare, adapt exercises and create realistic scenarios while retaining the judgement and expertise that make great training valuable.
Then we turn to the commercial side: your niche, positioning, pricing, rate card, marketing, potential clients and opportunities to grow the value of your offer.

Following Week:
Refine it.
Your 90-Minute 1:1 Development Session
After the two-day intensive, you’ll have time to apply what you’ve learned to your own media training workshop and offer.
You’ll then have a dedicated 90-minute virtual session with me to review what you’ve created, challenge your thinking, answer your questions and help you refine your approach before you take it forward.
Turn your experience into training you can confidently deliver
Build a high-value service around your existing expertise
You’ll leave The Media Trainer Method with the structure, frameworks and commercial thinking to launch a spokesperson training service or strengthen the one you already offer.
Organisations need people who can represent them effectively across an increasingly wide range of situations: media interviews, panels, podcasts, presentations, webinars, live video and social channels.
That creates opportunities for experienced communications professionals and journalists who can provide more than interview practice, and deliver structured training that prepares people to become confident, credible Brand Champions.
You might work directly with organisations, partner with PR and communications agencies, or add media training to services you already provide. The Media Trainer Method will help you shape an offer you can position, price and take to market with confidence.

8,000 large organisations
Over 8,000 large organisations operate in the UK, each with senior leadership, communications and marketing teams who regularly represent their business publicly and need to do so with clarity and confidence

How the course runs
The Media Trainer Method combines two full, intensive workshop days in London with a dedicated 90-minute virtual 1:1 the following week.
With a maximum of six participants, the two days are designed to be interactive, giving us time to explore the theory, work through practical examples, discuss how it applies to your own experience and answer questions as we go.
After the London sessions, you’ll have time to apply what you’ve learned and develop or refine your own media training workshop and offer.
The following week, you’ll have 90 minutes with me, one-to-one, to review what you’ve created, work through any challenges and refine your approach.
You’ll also have 30 days of asynchronous support after the programme, so you can continue to ask questions as you put your learning into practice.
